Our Story
Helping Hand Homecare was started in April 2012 by Abigail Norman. Abigail had been working in home care for many years when she decided to start Helping Hand Homecare. It was an easy decision to make as she has a great understanding of delivering care and a firm belief that she could make a great difference to the service users lives.
Abigail used the values that she had been brought up with, along with values gained during employment in previous roles, to build the foundations of the business. Amongst other things, she is passionate about care, promoting independence and companionship. Helping Hand Homecare works with its service users and their families in order to ‘just fit in’ to daily lives and routines.

I have been working in the home care industry since 2006.
I founded Helping Hand Homecare in 2012 because I felt I could make a big difference to people in Northallerton needing home care services.
Chris da Silva Simoes
HR and Payroll Manager
I started working in Payroll and HR in 2002 when I was fresh faced and just out of school.
I have a love of technology and am always looking for ways to bring advanced technology into Helping Hand Homecare.
